IFME

IFME was formed and launched its first workshop in June 2011, with the idea of raising the delivery efficiency for the organization. Facility Management is considered to be a new industry wherein no formal courses were available in India and hence the industry followed the methodology of learning practices at work place.

Working personals from various fields poured into this industry and started delivering as per their best of knowledge.

We analysed the industry and realized that something concrete needed to be done as the required work dynamics is holistic in nature wherein employees having the mere knowledge of any single engineering or any discipline is not sufficient.

One needs to have maintenance knowledge of electrical/mechanical/chemical/electronics/soft skills/finance/PR etc.. Infact Facility management is an amalgamation of all fields.

This prompted us to design a course module for the working professionals so that they could benefit their organizations. Today, facility management is not restricted to admin job only, there are other areas which makes this field strategic in the decision making for the organization.

Now I carry that confidence in addressing most of the technical queries related to Facilities and Administration. I am immensely thankful to Mr. Upadhyay and Mr. JN Kumar for such insightful teaching and for parting in their first-hand experience with all the students.

Till the time I enrolled for this course, I just had a vague idea about Corporate Facilities Management & Engineering even though being an Engineer by profession. The topics covered under this course were the 'Force Multipliers' for succeeding in FM field that has taken the form of a Specialized subject. Coming from the background of Armed Forces, this course exposed me exponentially towards the new horizons of Corporate culture, demands and expectations. The course helped to do the facility activity in right manner and complete knowledge of all the equipment's in office & today when I enter my facility, the approach of looking at my facility has entirely changed, also the working style of every task has been more focused and with depth knowledge.
